SMVDU scholar presents paper in international conference

JAMMU, Sept 29: Rudrika Kalsotra, Research Scholar, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, SMVDU, participated in `4th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC 2017)’, sponsored by IEEE Delhi Section and held recently at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan, HP.
During the conference, Rudrika Kalsotra presented a research paper titled “Morphological Based Moving Object Detection with Background Subtraction Method”. The paper proposed an algorithm for accurate and complete moving object detection based on morphological operations. The algorithm is performed on standard video datasets as well as on self-captured videos.
Kalsotra is currently working on moving object detection for intelligent video analytics and her work has potential applications in the field of video surveillance, optical motion capture, target tracking, etc.
