UDHAMPUR, Sept 29: Reiterating the demand of reorganization of State, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia said J&K can follow the past pattern of two Chief Ministers and one Governor like neighbouring States of Punjab and Haryana. He reiterated that after reorganization of the State, each region will get its due share in every sphere and equitable development would be possible to end discrimination with Jammu region.
Haq-insaaf yatra reached Udhampur District on Friday and NPP president Mankotia addressed rallies at Ritti, Kanula, Kghot, Barta, Jonu, Tandhal, Paatli and Karowan village of the district where local people warmly welcomed the yatra started for separate Jammu State and assured full support either financially and whole heartedly.
Mankotia said after the formation of BJP-PDP Government in State, Udhampur District remained neglected in development sector. People are suffering for potable drinking water, electricity, ration and dilapidated condition of roads and have forced to come on roads for their genuine demands, he said.
NPP president reiterated that development of Jammu region was only possible till it gets status of separate State. Demanding the reorganization of the State, Mankotia said J&K should follow the pattern of neighbouring states having separate Chief Ministers in Punjab and Haryana but have common Governer in past which can serve the aspiration of three regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
If those two states can follow that kind of arrangement then why J&K cann’t opt such type of arrangement in the State to end discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh region, regretted Mankotia.
On this occasion Dhani Ram Attri, Rampal Bhagat, Harjeet Singh, Parkash Singh, Kewal Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Mohan Singh etc also addressed the different gatherings.
