Wasting tax payers money

Sir,
One step forward two steps backward, that has been the irony of reforms taken by Governments for last 70 years .Same is the case with present Government.A bold reform of demonetization which could lead to some economic revival is backed by  an  unnecessary political stunt by destroying tax payers’ money to build a Shivaji Memorial. What is the purpose of wasting tax payers money?.
A whooping Rs 3600-crore Shivaji memorial project in a State where farmers are unable to cultivate due to scarcity of water and lose their lives every summer. Villages lack schools to accommodate poor children, colleges and universities lack infra structural facilities to impart quality education, hospitals lack medical faculty and equipments to cure ailing patients, remote villages  lack connectivity with their respective towns and cities, lakhs of youth migrate in search of jobs to big cities, one wonders can’t 3600-crore be utilized on human priority cause.
If the Govt really wants common citizens to pay taxes honestly then make it a point to utilize it properly, and when we accomplish above priorities we can think of building memorials, otherwise we can’t simply afford the extravaganza.
Yours etc….
