VCT plea to MPs

JAMMU, Apr 29: Viklang Chhatra Trust (VCT) requested MPs and Legislatures of J&K State for providing artificial limbs and calipers to amputees and polio victims.
In a joint statement, Prof VS Verma, Joint Secretary, VCT and Satya Pal Saraf, Organiser said that every Legislature has lakhs of rupees as Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at his disposal earmarked for providing assistance and can provide artificial limbs and calipers to differently abled persons so that the sufferers can also live dignified life.
They stated that the surprisingly factual position is very grim as State Government has miserably failed to provide such facility i.e. artificial limbs to needy citizens.
On behalf of VCT, Prof Verma and Saraf appealed to MPs, MLAs and MLCs of the State to identify such disabled persons of their constituency and provide artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles, wheelchair etc. to the deserving persons.
