RAMBAN, Nov 22: A driver was killed, when the truck he was driving rolled down into gorge near Jawahar Tunnel in tehsil Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, a truck was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver failed to negotiate sharp curve near Jawahar Tunnel in tehsil Banihal, resulting the vehicle plunged into gorge and on the spot death of the driver.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot, retrieved the body and shifted the same to mortuary at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for identification.
A case in this regard has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
