POONCH, Nov 22: Defeating Choudhary Cricket Club Rajouri by one wicket in the semifinals, YCC qualified for the finals of the Manjit Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and electing to bat first, Choudhary Club scored a modest total of 101 runs in this allotted 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Zahid Malik top scored with 35 runs. Shahid and Muzamal took 2 wickets each for YCC.
In reply, YCC scored 102 for 9 in 19.3 overs. Aman scored 48 runs, while Talat and Prithpal contributed 13 and 17 runs respectively. Ishataq Rasool took 4 wickets in 3 overs and contributed 30 runs. DySP Khalid Amin was the chief guest on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Tariq Khan, Sanjay Misri, Parvaiz and Romesh Kumar.
