Theft case solved

Srinagar, Mar 24: Police solved a theft case within six hours in the main market of Kupwara district today.
A police spokesman said that on Friday an owner of the mobile shop reported that some mobile sets have been stolen from his shop.
He said accordingly a case FIR No. 42/2018 u/s 457, 380 RPC was registered in PS Kupwara and investigation taken-up.
“A special team was constituted headed by IC PP Bazar Kupwara. The team rounded-up some suspects of the area and put them under sustained interrogation. During the interrogation three suspected confessed their involvement in the theft case,” he said.
He identified the accused as Danish Manzoor Zargar, a resident ofTikker Kupwara. Danish Ahmad Sheik, a resident of Tikker Kupwara and Ab Qayoom Ganaie, a resident ofGanaie Mohalla Kupwara.
“On their disclosure, stolen property worth Rs 1.2 lakhs have been recovered. Further investigation is going on and more recoveries are expected from the arrested persons related to other theft cases,” he said.
