Tassaduq takes stock of development works in Poonch

POONCH, June 4: On the second day of tour, the Minister for Tourism Tassaduq Hussain Mufti today visited various places of the district to take stack of developmental works and interacted with people to hear grievances.
MLA Shah Mohammd Tantary, MLC Yashpal Sharma, District Development Commissioner Poonch Mohammaed Aijaz, ADC Poonch, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD, R&B and various other officers of the district administration accompanied the Minister.
The Minister who is on 4-day tour to the district visited various places including Brigadier Pritam Singh Zanana Park, Children’s Park, Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School Surankote, Meternal & Child Care Health Wing Surankote, Government High School Fazala Abad Dana Shahstar, and Taqia Sharief Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Surankote.
The Minister sought details about the departmental assets, their upgradation and renovation, capacity building programmes of the staff, waste management of the assets and promotional activities being taken up by the department.
He stressed on consulting experts for proper renovating and designing public parks that not only have aesthetically beautiful facade gelling with nature but also have beautiful landscape and verity of plant species.
While visiting the schools, the Minister interacted with students as well as with teachers  and stressed for streamlining the system by improving the quality of education across the district, besides initiation of cultural activities.
Take serious note of hospital waste management, the Minister asked the concerned for submitting a report regarding the waste segregation and management besides conducting a proper research and survey to tackle the sanitation issues.
The Minister met various delegations during the tour and interacted with the locals and tourism stakeholders of the area. He gave patient hearing to the grievances and issues raised by them.
