RAJOURI, Dec 13: A Sub Inspector posted at Chingus Police Post was today injured after he was attacked during clash between the two groups in Chatiyari area this evening.
Reports said that there was a clash between the two rival groups over an old land dispute at Chatiyari. Incharge Police Post Chingus, SI Mohd Rafiq rushed to the spot along with some cops. One of the members from a group attacked Police officer on his head with a lethal weapon. The SI sustained serious head injury and was rushed to Rajouri Hospital. The police nabbed one of the accused persons and also registered a fresh FIR in this connection.
Meanwhile, the injured SI Mohd Rafiq has been deputed to DPL Rajouri while SI Farid Ahmed has been placed as I/C PP Chingus. SI Nassir Ahmed has been placed as I/C PP City, Rajouri in place of SI Farid.
