Shiv Sena holds demonstration

JAMMU, June 12: Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) today held a protest demonstration at Tope Bridge near Mandlik Nagar (Ward No. 39) over the shabby condition of the roads, lanes and drains in Mandlik Nagar.
The demonstration was led by the senior leaders of Shiv Sena including its president, Dimpy Kohli, chairman, Vipin Hindu and Working President, Ashwani Gupta.
While addressing the gathering the leaders of the Shiv Sena said the road leading from the Tope Bridge to Mandlik Nagar is in bad condition and even one cannot walk on foot on this road. The authorities are giving the step motherly treatment to the area and no one is there to address the problems being faced by the residents of Mandlik Nagar.
Even the nallah flowing in the area is never cleaned by the authorities and stinks badly. The local MLA who is now the Minister in the present Government is least bothered about the area whereas the road leading from Tope Bridge to Janipur is an important road and its condition is worse near Best Price. Slogans were raised against the concerned authorities for their non-seriousness towards the development of the locality.
The authorities were warned to get the problems of the area sorted out as soon as possible, otherwise, the Shiv Sena will be forced to block the traffic on Akhnoor road to get the justice for the public of the area.
Others who participated were Nathpal Choudhary, Rakesh Kak, Sanjeev Kumar, Jarnail Singh, Ashwani Sharma, Arun Gupta, Shubam Manhas, Ankush Bhau, Raman Sharma, Deeraj Jamwal, Tarsem Lal, Sanjay Raina, VinodKumar, Joginer Pal and Madan Lal.
