JAMMU, July 23: The Association of Industries, Gangyal organised a seminar on GST- “An overview with special emphasis on incentives”, wherein CA SK Malhotra explained in a very lucid and comprehensive manner, various provisions of the newly promulgated Goods and Services Act which was rolled out in the State from July 8, 2017.
The seminar was organised yesterday at the premises of the Association of Industries in the presence of Rajesh Jain, President and Vijay Sharma, Secretary. The seminar was conducted in order to help the members in understanding the altogether new concept of taxation under the GST regime.
During his welcome Address, Rajesh Jain expressed his gratitude to CA SK Malhotra for sparing his valuable time to educate the members in respect of GST.
The CA SK Malhotra delivered a detailed lecture which was followed by question and answer session. Malhotra explained the various provisions and procedure regarding registration, composition scheme, transition, reverse charge mechanism, input credit, etc in a very simple language. Further, he replied all sorts of questions raised by the industrialists up to their satisfaction. Vote of thanks was given by Rajesh Jain.
Earlier, both Rajesh Jain and CA SK Malhotra apprised the members of various initiatives being taken for getting the exemption package for Industries in J&K.
A large number of Industrialists including Rattan Dogra, Subash Aggarwal, Vipan Sharma, K K Khosa, Ramesh Sethi, Sanjeev Vij and Sanjay Jain actively participated in the seminar.
