SRINAGAR: Security forces launched a massive search operation in about half a dozen villages and orchards in Pulwama district, where a similar operation was called off early this morning after militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Official sources said security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint search operation in about half a dozen villages and orchards, including at Pinglana, this information following a tip-off about the presence of militants.
Security forces sealed all exit points and launched the search operation, they said adding so far no contact with militants was established. The operation was going on when the reports last came in, they said adding no one was arrested. (AGENCIES)
