NEW DELHI: In a sharp rebuff to critics of Government’s handling of the Kashmir situation, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley today categorically said that in a war-like zone, solutions will have to be provided only by military officers.
”Military solutions have to be provided by military officers, not by politicians,” the Defence Minister said while replying to a question at a Cabinet briefing here.
He said that in the situation prevailing in the valley, Army officers will be allowed to deal with the situation as per their own strategy.
”They can’t do this in consultation with MPs,” he said. (AGENCIES)
