JAMMU, Jan 30: In order to boost Rice Mills on modern techniques, a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Managing Director SICOP R. L.Tickoo .
The meeting was attended by Director MSME, Jammu, Financial Advisor & CAO, SICOP, Officers of Industries and Commerce Department and association of Rice Mill Cluster and their members.
The objective was to discuss and finalize the action plan and interventions for developing these Clusters.
R L Tickoo, Managing Director SICOP informed that the Government of India has approved the DSR proposal for development of Rice Milling Cluster. He emphasized the stake holders to positively participate in the program for growth of Rice industries in the State. He further emphasized that the cluster activities should be tailored as per specific requirements of the industries.
Virinder Sharma, Director MSME while highlighting the Cluster Strategies assured his full assistance in the endeavour. He further said that any problem being faced by the industries or stake holders shall be taken up with DC, MSME New Delhi to find out the solution .
B N Kapoor, Cluster Development Consultant presented the proposed action plan on Cluster Development and shared his experience regarding development of Karnal Rice Milling Cluster which has grown tremendously.
Ram Singh and Sandeep Kapoor highlighted their demands on behalf of Association of Rice Mills.
