Reasi being developed as planned town: Nanda

REASI, June 7: Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today said that numerous initiatives have been taken by the Government to develop Reasi as a well planned and clean city.
The focus has been laid on improvement of sanitation and civic services. “Renovation of lanes, drains and construction of toilet complexes for public convenience and development of green areas have given a new facelift to the city,” he said.
Ajay Nanda was addressing locals after launching construction work of public utilities including a community toilet complex for ladies and gents in the main market of the town. The project would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 13 lakh.
The Minister while listing other achievements said that special attention is being given to augmentation of drinking water and improvement of power infrastructure in the town area. “For this liberal funding is being provided by the Government”, he added.
Executive Engineer JKPCC Pankaj Sawhney, Executive Officer Municipality, concerned officers, executive members and prominent persons were also present at the foundation laying ceremony.
