Rana pledges to transform developmental profile of Nagrota

NAGROTA, Nov 8: Giving an overview of the initiatives taken for development of Nagrota in recent years, Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today pledged to transform the constituency in next six years.
“We have made a humble beginning of changing the developmental profile of the area during the past few years, which has placed Nagrota in a good stead to get transformed into a model constituency”, the Provincial President said during a series of meetings in Block Dansal.
Mr Rana, who is NC candidate from the constituency, said the development of Nagrota is a big challenge which he can meet with fortitude, given the goodwill and support of the people. He complimented cross section of society in supporting him in the initiatives taken for the development of each segment of the constituency. “As a result of active cooperation, we have succeeded in bringing about a discernible change in basic sectors of development like road connectivity, supply of power and drinking water besides rural development”, he said and described the grant of new administrative units as triumph of the resilience and single-mindedness of the people.
Mr Rana said Nagrota is at the threshold of new era and the day is not far when the vision of people in making it ‘Nava Jammu’ will become a reality. The concept has already caught the imagination of youth who will be real stake-holders of the change.
Urging youth to become part of the change, the Provincial President referred to their enthusiasm and said this inspires him to devote his energies for the holistic development of the constituency. He said the people will not find him wanting in the efforts of giving new dimension to development and progress of the area.
The Provincial President also referred to the achievements of Omar led Government during the past six years and said the process of development will get renewed impetus if National Conference is voted to power with clear mandate. He said initiatives taken by the Chief Minister have rekindled hope among the people about peace and development getting consolidated in all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and their sub regions. He said equitable development of all has been the main plank of National Conference and this will continue to be the guiding force for the party at all levels.
Mr Rana exhorted the people to participate in the democratic exercise in a big way and play their useful role in the making of strong and stable Government that can take care of challenges faced to the State.
