REASI, Feb 19: Foiling an attempt of liquor smuggling to holy town Katra, Police today seized 350 pouches of liquor and also arrested the accused bootlegger.
According to Police, during naka checking at PCP Searly, ASI Banarsi Dass along with Police party recovered 350 number of poly pouches of J&K Excise, containing 250 Ml liquor in each, from the possession of one Shiva Singh of Champa, Madhya Pradesh, presently putting up at Matyal Katra.
Police also seized the Alto car JK02AC-9184, in which the liquor was being smuggled from Parthal towards Katra.
A case FIR no 27/2017 u/s 48(a) Ex act 188 RPC has been registered in this connection at PS Katra.
