SRINAGAR, May 1: Police today apprehended two thieves who were involved in many thefts for last couple of years in Handwara area of Kupwara district.
SSP Handwara, Ghulam Jeelani Wani, while briefing media in DPO Handwara, said that Tariq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Ganistan Magam and Rafiq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Magam have been arrested whereas their third accomplice is already in the custody of Kupwara Police in another theft case.
He said that laptops and many cell phones have been recovered from the duo and an FIR No. 149/2018 US 457, 380 has been lodged against the accused.
He further said that the third one involved was identified as Danish Manzoor Zarger, a resident of Tiker and he was already under custody in FIR vide No. 68/2017 in Kupwara.
