PK criticises PDP for raking up AFSPA during election

JAMMU, Mar 17: Panun Kashmir (PK)  has criticised Mehbooba Mufti for advocating the revocation of AFSPA issue during election times.
Addressing the meeting of PK activists here, today Vijay Bhat its president said that the issue of AFSPA is irrelevant at the time of elections and when the militancy is constantly raising its ugly face in Kashmir, more particularly in her home Constituency Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian. This speaks of the double standard of PDP leader, he added.
PK convenor Ravinder Jalali said that CM has herself admitted that when the situation improves we can revoke the AFSPA from some areas. Nobody denies it but she has to understand that, had the situation improved and reached to the situation which warrants the removal of security forces? It means that CM blows hot and cold through the same breath, said Jalali. The reopening of fresh registration indicates that Government is accepting that the situation in the Valley is not conducive for the revocation of AFSPA and they are unable to protect citizens who are not supporting the secessionist forces.
Panun Kashmir also slammed Omar Abdullah for protesting against the scaling down of security given to its leaders.
PK leaders reminded Omar Abdullah that his father Dr. Farooq Abdullah recently entered into an informal pact with the separatists when he announced that we are not separate from Huriyat and further said that we are also toeing the same line and don’t treat us as your enemy, so where is the threat, they asked?
