JAMMU, Mar 25: All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha (MSS) here celebrated 446th Parkash Divas of Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj.
JMC Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta was the chief guest and BJP State Incharge IT & Social Media, Jaidev Rajwal, ex-MLAs Ashwani Kumar and S.N Manyal were the guests of honour.
Thousands of people from different SC communities from different parts of the State participated in the function and paid obeisance to Guru Nabha Dass Ji.
On this occasion MSS president, Dr. M.L Rao submitted memorandum to Chander Mohan Gupta, Jaidev Rajwal, Ashwani Kumar and S.N Manyal listing demands of the community like reserving one of the six Lok Sabha seats in J&K for SCs, representation in Legislative Assembly and Council for two seats to Mahasha Community and one nominated MLC in J&K, construction of boys hostel over the existing Nabha Dass Community Hall, declaration of holiday on the eve of birth anniversary of Guru Ji under Negotiation of Instrument Act and removal of slaughter house located in front of Shiv Mandir.
The Mayor assured the Mahasha community to release maximum funds from JMC and even through the Governor for completing the left over proposed boys’ hostel on the existing Nabha Dass Community Hall.
He also assured the community to install the statue of Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj in the square to be selected by the Sabha.
Jaidev Rajwal highlighted the achievements and schemes launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and said that Central Government has conceded a long pending demand of reservation in promotions that is one of the biggest gifts to the SC community.
