MENDHAR, May 22: A youth was injured after some NC and BJP workers had clash in Chhatral area of Mendhar in district Poonch today.
Reports said that during the visit and welcome meeting of BJP MLC, Pardeep Sharma in the area, some BJP and NC workers had clash over the issue of raising slogans. There was some heated exchanges between the youth workers of both sides. Some youth NC activists allegedly attacked Zafar Iqbal, son of BJP leader Mohd Sadiq Naz of Chhatral and broke his arm.
The youth was later admitted to SDH, Mendhar under MLC No. 0252. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. Police said the victim has identified two accused as Mukhtar Ahmed and Qamar Ahmed.
