JAMMU, June 5: In mysterious circumstances, an under trial prisoner was today found in unconscious condition in District Jail, Amphalla, where he was presently lodged.
According to a police official, an under trial namely Pintu Kumar (45) son of Swarn Lal, resident of RS Pura, who was accused in a murder case registered at police station RS Pura under FIR No 66/2014, was found in unconscious condition in Amphalla jail, where he was presently put up.
“The jail authorities immediately shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical”, he said, adding, inquest proceedings in this connection was initiated at police station Pacca Danga.
