Man held with illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Jan 31: Police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from Kulian area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Kulian and intercepted a person, who tried to ran away after seeing the police cops.
During checking, police recovered 56 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Nama Singh, son of Dhama Singh of Ward Number 1, Simbal Camp.
A case under FIR Number 22/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at police station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Pawan Kumar along with ASI Yougal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu Romesh Kotwal.
