Machail Mata Yatra crosses 50,000 mark

KISHTWAR, Aug 10: The Machail Mata Yatra crossed 50,000 mark on the 15th day of the yatra.
According to an official figure till date, 56524 pilgrims paid darshan out of which 12,693 yatris availed the facility of the chopper services to and fro. Around 7450 pilgrims performed darshan today. Yatris from different parts of the country are participating in the holy mace and are seen enthusiastic and enthralled after returning from the holy yatra.
While talking to the Excelsior, one of the pilgrim from Jammu namely Subhash Gupta said that all anxiety and boredom gets waned after performing the darshan at Mata Machail temple. He stated that one found rich solace and peace under the feet of Mata Machail.
Since, commencement of the yatra, 25244 males, 19542 females, 11668 children and 70 sadhus had performed darshan at Machail Mata temple.
Tight security arrangements enroute Thathri to Machail are already in place by the district administration.
DDC Angrez Singh Rana is himself supervising the requisite arrangements made for yatris like drinking water, toilet facility, sanitation, medical facility and other essential items en-route for devotees besides volunteers have also arranged langars for devotees at different stop points.
Rana said that necessary arrangements for the safety and security of pilgrims are strictly adhered and no pilgrim has been allowed to travel at late hours after fixed time limit already decided and set up by the administration.
The pilgrims who are continuously going for pilgrimage from several years said that the arrangements this time are far better in comparison to previous years and yatris are paying obeisance hassle free.
