IIM student found unconscious, declared dead at hospital

JAMMU, Aug 10: A 1st semester student of IIM, Canal Road, Jammu was today found in unconscious condition at hostel of the institute and was declared as brought dead by the doctors here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
“The deceased has been identified as Vamsi Krishna (24) son of Yellamilli Ravindar Nath, resident of Sector 1, Ayodhya Nagar, Vijaywara (Andhra Pradesh). Just one month back, he had taken admission in 1st semester at IIM, Canal Road and was living in the hostel of the institute”, a police official said.
Quoting his hostel friends, the official said that the deceased boy was complaining of uneasiness and pain in his stomach last night and in the morning, neither he went to Institute nor took his breakfast. “In the evening, he was found lying unconscious on his bed in the hostel room after which other inmates of the hostel rushed him to GMCH, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors”, he added.
He said that Nowabad police had taken cognizance of the matter while body of the deceased had been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital and his family members informed.
