JWAM holds protest, demands implementation of Food Bill

JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration here at Janipur-High Court Road demanding the Government to implement Food Security Bill in the State.
JWAM activists followed by household women and youths came on Janipur-High Court Road with empty utensils and kerosene canes in their hands against the non-availability of ration in the Government Depots. They raised slogans against CAPD Department for not providing ration in the depots.
We are standing in queues for last many days in the chilly cold from morning to evening for kerosene oil but did not get it till now, they said.
Addressing the protestors, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple demanded the Government to implement Food Security Bill in the State. He also voiced for 30 litres of kerosene per month to each family and increasing the qota of the subsidized cylinders from 9 to 15.
Dimple also alleged that Atta bags supplied by CAPD are under wait and not worth  eating.
