Srinagar, Jan 18: Two shops were gutted in Sopore.
A police spokesman said fire broke out in two shops of Abdul Aziz Dar of Nowpora, Sopore and Ishtiyaq Ahmad Malik of Iqbal Nagar, Sopore at Main Chowk Sopore.
“Both the shops were completely damaged. Besides, two adjacent shops of Nazir Ahmad Ganie of Noorbagh, Sopore, and Mohammad Rafiq Lone resident of Butpora were partially damaged in the incident,” a police spokesman said.
He said fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and locals. The cause of the fire is believed to be electric short circuit, he added.
