JTC delegation calls on RRC

JAMMU, Aug 11: A joint delegation of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K led by  Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC/SKF called on  Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner,  in his office chambers today.
During the meeting the members of JTC Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Kashi Nath Bhat, R.K. Raina, Inder Ji Labroo, Raj Kumar Bhat and other apprised the Commissioner of the difficulties being faced by the inmates of Jagti migrants township.
The delegation demanded renovation of quarters and plugging of leakages in different residential quarters, improving  sanitary and drainage system, solving acute shortage of drinking water in the township, issuing of RBA certificates to the deserving migrants youth belonging to reserved Backward areas of Kashmir Valley , lack of infrastructures, equipments and medicines in 40 bedded hospital at Jagti, enhancement of cash assistance relief to the tune of Rs. 25000/- with ensuring release of cash assistance under DBT scheme, implementation of Prime Minister’s employment package by filling up of remaining posts mi grant of employment to at least one educated youth of each migrant family, issuance of ration cards to the registered migrants under employees category with sanctioning of 50 kg ration in favour of each employee migrant family ,holding  of on spot police recruitment drive in Jagti Migrant township, release of balance exgratia relief of gutted houses in favour of the affected beneficiaries, removal of encroachments from migrants properties as well as encroachments made on the religious places and shrines in Kashmir Valley.
