Srinagar, Dec 28:  J&K Central Contractors Coordination Committee today demanded the release of pending liabilities and has threatened to boycott all the developmental works if the Government fails to clear their liabilities.
A spokesperson of JKCCCC said it was high time for the Government to release the pending liabilities worth Rs 250 crore. “If Government fails to release the pending bills all the development projects will come to a halt,” he said
He criticized the Government for withholding the bills of the Valley based contractors and alleged that Government was deliberately discoursing  them. He said despite the completion of works certificate allotted to the contractors by the various departments including Finance, Planning, and Works in time, hundreds of bills are pending with the Government. He added if the bills are not cleared till January  22, they would stop all the developmental works.
