J&K thrashes Punjab to enter finals

JAMMU, May 12: After defeating Himachal Pradesh on the other day, J&K Handicapped Cricket team thrashed Punjab by 74 runs to script second consecutive win and entered the finals of the Physically Handicapped Cricket Tri-Series at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
The Series is being organized by Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association for Divyang, under the aegis of Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India.
Batting first, J&K Handicapped Cricket team scored 183 runs in 28.5 overs. Jagmohan Singh top scored with 48 runs, while Firdous Ahmad (40) and Vivek Sharma (38) were the other main contributors.
From Punjab, Sudhama took 3 wickets, while Ajaye Singh, Mangal Singh and Saleem took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Punjab team bundled out for 109 runs in 21.3 overs, thus lost the match by 74 runs. Saleem and Ravindra scored 38 and 22 runs respectively. From J&K, Jagmohan took 3 wickets, while Amir Rather, Vishnu and Firdous Ahmad took 2 wickets each. Nadeem also claimed 1 wicket. Jagmohan was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
