J&K Bank organizes financial literacy camp

SAMBA, Aug 26: A financial literacy camp was organized today by J&K Bank, Branch Rahya at village Badhori in tehsil Bari-Brahmana.
The camp was presided over by Branch Head, Sunil Datt along with bank team.
Presenting welcome address, FID officer, Balbir Singh, spoke on various Social security scheme like PMJDY, PMSBY and APY. He also threw light on ‘Ladli Beti’ and other schemes like KCC, Kisan Dost, MUDRA and JLG.
He also briefed the gathering on financial planning and budgeting, basic of micro credit, credit and interest, life/non-life insurance, importance of social security, productive years and old age and various insurance schemes and basic banking services including pension facility for State Government and Defence employees.
Later, an interactive session was also conducted during which the FID officer took various questions of the people present in the gathering and cleared their doubts on various schemes.
Besides natives of the village, the camp was attended by Dr Vijay Bahadur Singh, Incharge, Rainfed Research Sub-Station of SKUAST-J at Rahya.
