High Fliers, Falote FC register wins

JAMMU, June 11: In the 4th quarterfinal match of the 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Football League at Kathua, the team of High Fliers eased their way into the semifinals by beating the newly formed Basholi FC by 4-0.
It was a tough contest in the first half but a one-sided affair in the second half. A hat-trick by Jatin fetched him the man of the match award.
In the 3rd quarterfinal match played between Falote FC and Hiranagar FC at Kathua Stadium yesterday, the team of Falote FC got the better of Hiranagar FC in the penalty shootout by four goals to three (4-3).
Ranjit Singh Punia from Falote FC bagged the man of the match prize by scoring 2 goals.
The tournament is being organized by J&K Football Association, while the man of the match prizes for the tournament are being sponsored by ‘Hope Street Charitable Trust’ and ‘Mehta Football Academy’.
