UDHAMPUR, June 11: Divisional Commissioner, Hemant Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of district officers to take stock of various ongoing developmental projects being executed in the district.
District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, PO ICDS, Rimpy Ohri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Subash Dogra, Assistant Commissioner Development, Noor Alam, ASP, Faisal Qureshi, Executive Engineers PHE, PWD R&B and other officers were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, DDC gave a detailed account of different development works including status of holy Devika project under National River Conservation Plan, construction of sports stadium, status of four laning of National Highway from Udhampur to Chenani, status of Polytechnic College at Jakhar, establishment of transport yard and ware house, black topping of Kainth Gali Bhamag road under NABARD, construction of roads from Ossu Kaira to Pakhlai, construction of road from Toldi Nallah bridge to connect the habitation, upgradation of 22 number of link roads, provision of rain water harvesting structures in all newly sanctioned Government and other residential buildings in urban areas, construction of EOC building, RTI status report 2017-18, hardship allowances to revenue field staff working in remote areas, rationalization of Patwar halkas, Girdawar circle, status of Jamabandies and Mutations in the district .
While reviewing the progress of various ongoing developmental works, the Divisional Commissioner directed the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work of all developmental projects and to ensure their completion within stipulated time frame.
He further directed the concerned officers to take measures to improve supply of drinking water and power besides other facilities to ensure that the people do not face shortage of basic amenities. He further instructed the officers that the public grievances should be redressed on priority.
