JAMMU, Dec 7: VHP State president, Leela Karan Sharma has strongly condemned the statement of Farooq Abdullah whereby he openly asked his cadre to support Hurriyat & appealed all fractions of Hurriyat to unite.
Talking to reporters here, today Sharma said that Farooq Abdullah has come in his true colours now as he continues to change his colours according to his suitability. The Hurriyat is an upper ground mouthpiece of the terrorist organisations & is the root cause of the disturbance, he added.
The VHP chief pointed out that Hurriyat is also responsible for the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley so such a statement is most deplorable & condemnable.
Sharma also threw light on Farooq Abdullah’s time & repeated anti-national utterances when he was de-thrown by his brother-in-law G.M. Shah. The VHP leader said the NC president inspired & called upon the youth of Valley to go to Pakistan & have armed training from there. VHP is fully determined to counter all these organisations at any cost & also calls upon the so called NC leaders of Jammu province whether they subscribe to the statement of Farooq Abdullah & are ready to support Hurriyat or condemn the same otherwise it will be presumed that by subscribing to the statement of Farooq Abdullah they will be providing support & hideout to the militants of which Hurriyat is a fountain head. “ All these NC leaders & their supporters owe an explanation to people of Jammu & it is also the duty of the people to ask all these so called leaders & supporters of NC whether they support the statement of Farooq Abdullah or they represent the aspirations of people of Jammu & condemn the statement of NC leader”.
He said it is unfortunate that Farooq Abdullah & his family have held the highest office of Chief Minister of the State as well as Ministers in the Central Government as such anti national statements will not be desirable from such a senior politicians and such statements will also not be tolerated.
Suresh Chander working President, Shakti Dutt Sharma State secretary, Ashok Gupta Prant Gou-Raksha Pramukh, Rakesh Sharma State co-convener Bajrang Dal and Subhash Gupta were also present in the press conference.
