JAMMU, Dec 7: A hardcore criminal has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and was lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal.
As per police sources, a hardcore criminal namely Pankaj Singh alias Panku, son of Gopal Singh, a resident of village Kotli Mian Fateh, Tehsil RS Pura has been booked under PSA.
Pankaj Singh was involved in a murder case, attempt to murder cases and burglary cases registered with police stations Miran Sahib and Bishnah. Two illegal fire arms were also recovered from his possession.
The dossier for detention of Pankaj Singh was submitted in the office of District Magistrate Jammu Simrandeep Singh by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta.
District Magistrate Jammu Simrandeep Singh issued the PSA warrant for detention of Pankaj Singh alias Panku, which was executed by the police and the accused was lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.
The PSA warrant was executed by police party headed by ASI Altaf Hussain under the supervision of SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Pawan Kumar, SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
