JAMMU, Oct 24: J&K Ex-Services League is observing Brig Rajinder Singh’s Martyrdom Day in which heroes of 1965 war shall be honoured on October 26, 2015 at Brig Rajinder Singh Chowk behind Jammu Secretariat.
This was stated by Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Ex-Servicemen League president who said that this time heroes of 1965 war shall be honoured by the chief guest, Lt Gen K J Singh, Army Commander, Western Command on behalf of the League.
Other dignitaries present on this occasion shall be Lt Gen Rajiv Tewari, Goc 9 Corps; Lt Gen R R Nimbhorkar, GOC 16 Corps; Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu; Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Maj Gen Kulpreet Singh, GOC 10 Inf Div; Maj Gen Sanjeev Narain, GOC 26 Inf Div; Danish Rana, IPS, IGP Jammu; Gulchain Singh Charak, president Dogra Sadar Sabha, Jammu and will pay homage.
On this ‘Balidan Diwas’ of Brig Rajinder Singh light will be thrown on many new facets of the J&K operations which have come to light recently.
