JAMMU, Sept 22: Board of Directors of Jammu Smart City Limited held first meeting under the chairmanship of Hirdesh Kumar, Commissioner Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department in the conference hall of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Jammu Smart City Limited is a Company limited by shares, registered under Companies Act, 2013 for implementation of Jammu Smart City project. Jammu Smart City project stands approved by Government of India with total project cost of around Rs 3600 crores which involves various smart interventions in Jammu City.
Directors of Jammu Smart City Limited are Hirdesh Kumar, Commissioner Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Chairman, Jammu Smart City Limited, Dr SD Singh, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, M Raju, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Smart City Limited, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Rajesh Kumar, Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Mohammad Shafi Zahid, Director, Archives, Archaeology and Museum and Maha Singh, Nominee Director, MoHUA.
The Board deliberated upon various issues of the agenda including adoption of Chairman and CEO, adoption of Certificate of Incorporation, taking note of the disclosure of interest of the Directors, adopting the common seal of the company, approving the format of the share certificate, issuance of share certificates to the first subscribers of the company, recruitment of the key managerial persons and their roles and responsibilities.
The Board also unanimously adopted Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of the company and stressed upon for taking immediate steps for speedy implementation of the Jammu Smart City Project.
