KATHUA, Oct 23: Stating that all round development of the Kathua Constituency is his priority, BJP MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today said work on equitable development of every nook and corner of constituency is his resolve and all out efforts are on to provide basic facilities to the people living in every nook and corner of the Constituency.
He said addressing development aspirations of the people is high on the agenda and mega projects have been launched to modernize infrastructure all across the constituency.
MLA was addressing hugely attended public gathering after inauguration of black topping work of roads of Uttari Sahar Logate and also lanes and drains besides sewerage work at Patel Nagar, Kathua at the cost of 3.40 cr on Sunday.
He said that work schedules and activities should be followed on time line so as to avoid delays in their completion. He said Panchayat representatives should keep a close vigil on the progress and quality of works so that durable assets get created within stipulated time frame under these projects.
“All those involved in development projects should gear up their efforts and complete the works well in time to fully utilize the funds made available for these prestigious projects,” he added. He called upon local representatives to generate awareness among the masses about various government schemes and welfare initiatives.MLA assured that all genuine demands of the people would be addressed at the earliest. He said that the Government has formulated a comprehensive programme to strengthen the existing infrastructure and to improve the socio-economic profile of the Kathua district. Asking the people to be part of the development process, MLA warned the contractors for any lapse on their part and said that they must ensure quality of works strictly as per the laid down specifications. He said road network in the district has been given special attention and all on-going projects will be speeded up for their timely completion.
