CPPWU flays PDD for unscheduled power cuts

KISHTWAR, Dec 21: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) district Kishtwar has strongly criticized the Power Development Department Division Kishtwar for huge curtailment of power and unscheduled power cuts in the district particularly in Kishtwar town.
Chairman of the Union, Joginder  Bhandari, while addressing the meeting has said that the huge and unscheduled power cuts in Kishtwar have been condemned by all the social and political organizations. He said most sufferers are the students and business establishments for which resentment is prevailing among the residents, students and business establishments.
He also said that the poor people used to pay monthly bill of Rs 108 and now the department is charging flat rate of Rs 360 which every poor person can not afford as they belongs to the BPL category.  In this connection, Bhandari has urged upon the State administration to charge Rs 108 monthly bill instead of Rs 360.
