KATHUA, Jan 22: A couple was injured after the car in which they were traveling was hit by a private bus at Khour More near here today.
The couple has been identified as R K Raina and Bimla Raina of Jammu. The duo were traveling in a car bearing registration number 1661JKOS from Jammu to Pathankot and after reaching Khour More, the car was hit by a private bus bearing registration number JKOAN 6981 which was on its way from Jammu to Lakhanpur.
As the bus hit the car it collided with the divider of the road resulting into grievous injuries to couple. Car was also badly damaged.
The Hatli More Police rushed to the spot and shifted the couple to DH Kathua where from after first aid they were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. The Hatli More Police has registered a case under section 279/337 in this regard. The driver of the bus fled after the accident. However the bus was seized by the police.
