Budding, trained artists leave audience spell bound during ‘Symphony 2014’

JAMMU, Jan 11: The budding and trained artists of the State left the audience spell bound with their commendable performance at “Winter Fest-4” in a musical evening ‘Symphony 2014-Melody of Strings’, organised by a leading school of instrumental and vocal music, “The Strings”-Institute of Spanish Guitar at police auditorium, Gulshan Ground here today.
The base of musical evening was the music on strings of guitar and the curtain raiser was the sound of the multi-keyed flute by Naresh Kumar accompanied with guitar and keyboard.
On the occasion, Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, was the chief guest, while Meenakshi Kilam, Director Quality Assurance, University of Jammu was the guest of honour.
The participants, who left the audience spell bound with their laudable performance were Sanchit, Sahil, Siddharth, Narjeet, Anish, Karun, Rajeev, Siddhant, Subodh, Aman, Abhinandan, Suyash, Bhargavie, Shine, Shruti, Akshita, Nandini, Arshit, Amay, Kritinay, Sunita, Col Dhar and Smriti.
Naresh Kumar, Director of the institute said that “The Strings” has continued its passionate commitment of providing a platform to young instrumentals and vocalist of the institute.
The sole aim of the institute is to promote music among the youth, who will be tomorrow’s responsible citizens and bridge the gap between the music and the present society, Naresh added.
“The Stings”-Institute of Spanish Guitar was founded by Naresh Kumar, a Jammu’s leading Guitarist, Flutist, Singer and Music Composer. It currently enrolls more than 200 students from age 5 to 60 years.
