JAMMU, Dec 3: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, while kick-starting blacktopping of a road in Gandhi Nagar, here, today said that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has scripted a new chapter of development in Jammu.
Ch.Vikram Randhawa kick-started blacktopping of road in Deeli area of Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency. The road was constructed 18 years ago and since then no macadamization or blacktopping was ever done. He said that it was a long pending demand of the locals of the area as they were facing hardships while passing through this stretch of the road as it was in deteriorated condition.
Randhawa said that none of the legislators from 18 years ever paid any heed to the just and genuine demand of the locals of the area.
Randhawa said that BJP is committed to carry out all round development in the entire Jammu region and particularly in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment. He said that a new chapter of development has been scripted by the BJP in Jammu region.
Randhawa further assured the residents of the area that all their legitimate demands would be fulfilled as per the priority in phased manner.
The locals appreciated the sincere efforts of the MLC in fulfilling the old pending demand of the people and extended full support to the BJP in the coming future as well.
Meanwhile, MLC also kick-started blacktopping of road in Khawaskhan area of Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency. It was also a long pending demand of the locals of the area which has been fulfilled. The blacktopping work would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 4 lakh by the Public Works Department.
Those who were present on the occasion include Ashok Kumar, Sanjay Gupta, Ghar Choudhary, Jaswant Singh, Dr. Jagdev Singh, Swarn Choudhary, Kawal Singh, Amrik Singh, Mohan Singh and others.
