JAMMU, May 15: Various burning issues of the people from Bhalwal block of district Jammu were taken up during a meeting with SDM North and various other officers today.
During the special camp organised at block headquarters, Bhalwal today, the prominent people of the area projected the burning issues of the general public which included water and power scarcity, shortage of ration, inadequate health facilities, bad condition of roads and lanes and other issues related to Revenue.
The people also projected the issues related to non-release of old age/ widow pension, non-clearance of fresh pending cases, non-availability of food and nutrition to the children in Anganwadi centres of ICDS block and habitual absenteeism of Govt employees.
SDM North, Alyas Khan, issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers present in the special public grievances redressal meeting and solved several issues there. Tehsildar Bhalwal Mohit Gupta was directed to monitor the attendance of the Govt employees in the area and also issue directions to the Revenue field staff to solve revenue related issues of the general public.
CPO, GL Sharma, Tehsildar Jammu North Saqib Saleem, BDO Bhalwal Dr Neha Sharma, BDO Mathwar Shahid Iqbal, CDPO and ZEO Bhalwal also attended the meeting.
