RAJOURI, May 15: The police today arrested a rape accused within 24 hours of the offence under Rajouri police jurisdiction.
A police spokesman said that after registration of case FIR No. 197/ 2017 against the rape accused today, the police party led by SHO (Prob) Rajouri, Sudhanshu Verma started search operation and managed to nab the accused from Reyan area of Kotranka this afternoon. He has been identified as Mohd Riaz, son of Mohd Ismail, resident of Reyan in Kotranka. He was wanted in the rape case of a local girl from Rajouri area.
