Bhalla leads protest against Govt’s failure on all fronts

JAMMU, Sept 18: Accusing the PDP-BJP Coalition Government in the State of having failed to address the problems of the people, activists of Congress  today held a series of protests in Jammu to express resentments against Government.
Led by former Minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla, a large number of Congress workers today held protests in different areas of the State and raised slogans against Coalition Government for turning deaf ear to genuine grievances of masses.
The protesters criticized State BJP leaders for surrendering in front of PDP for the sake of chair.“The Government is not performing according to the Agenda of Alliance. The farmers, business community, traders, students are totally fed up with this non-performing Government, which has failed on all fronts whether it is providing basic facilities to the people or paying timely wages to the daily wagers working in various departments of the State or checking price hike of essential commodities”, they said.
While talking to media, Bhalla said that PDP-BJP Coalition Government has totally failed to address the problems of the people of the State.”Since they (BJP-PDP) joined hands, the miseries of the people of J&K have increased manifolds. While the BJP cheated people of Jammu, the people of Kashmir were cheated by the PDP,” Bhalla said. He said that all the promises made to the people prior to the Assembly elections of 2014 remained unfulfilled.
“More than two years have passed but they have failed to fulfill any of the promises, be it the problems faced by the border residents, farmers, flood victims or refugees and Kashmiri Pandits, this Government has done nothing to address those problems,” Bhalla said.
While attacking the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government at the centre, Bhalla said that since the change of guard happened in New Delhi, the prices of essential commodities have increased manifold.”The ever increasing inflation is taking a toll on the common masses of this country,” he said.
