LEH, Sept 18: Chief Justice of J&K High Court Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed has laid stress on regular uploading of details of the cases on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG).
Chief Justice, who inspected courts at Drass, Kargil, Khaltsi, Leh and Nubra as part of his four day visit to Ladakh region, interacted with the judicial officers, members of the Bar and the court staff.
He laid emphasis on use of technology in judicial administration. He also took stock of the issues relating to connectivity of the courts of Ladakh region to National Judicial Data Grid and issued on spot directions to the judicial officers and the e-courts staff for ensuring regular uploading of case details on NJDG.
During his interaction with the members of the Bar at Leh and Kargil, the Chief Justice assured that possibility of hearing of cases pertaining to Ladakh region pending before the High Court through video conferencing will be explored in the near future.
He also laid foundation stone of the High Court guest house at Leh. The Chief Justice was accompanied by Justice Tashi Rabstan Administrative Judge District Leh, Sanjay Dhar, Registrar General and Jawad Ahmed, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice.
