JAMMU, Apr 4: Natrang’s Spring Children Theatre Workshop-2015 was inaugurated here today by Padamshree Balwant Thakur at Natrang Studio Theatre, here, today. The workshop is being conducted by Neeraj Kant, Bipin Gupta and Aarushi Thakur.
Neeraj Kant is an expert of Children Theatre whereas Bipin Gupta has specialized in acting from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata and Aarushi Thakur after graduating from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi did her Masters from University of Leister, UK has specialized training in Dramatics from Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. The workshop is being coordinated by Mahikshit Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur said that a unique and rarest opportunity has been provided by Natrang to Jammu children where they will be exposed to the amazing world of creativity and innovation. A wholesome and fun-filled training module which applies the most latest developed theatrical and artistic devices of self exploration and personality development will be offered to the participating children who will have the occasion to explore their immense inner abilities while participating in creative games and professionally designed exercises. He also informed that ‘theatre’ is one of the most effective medium of mind development, finishing of the self and personality exploration. Its immense power enables a child to imbibe self confidence and infuse lot of abilities which empowers him/her to excel in every field. In most of the developed Nations, theatre is considered as one of the compulsory activity of the school curriculum and the children exposed to this amazing art look like altogether distinctively groomed personalities. Natrang has been conducting regular children theatre workshops for the last 26 years and most of the products of these workshops have outshined in whatever fields they have opted as their career. In this spring workshop for children, Balwant Thakur himself will also interact and work with children.
