JAMMU, May 24: Bawa Balaknath Dev Asthan Parbandhak Committee celebrated annual festival of Bawa Balaknath Ji with chanting of vedic mantras at Bawa Balaknath Dev Asthan Kharwanda.
In this programme, people from all walks thronged the temple to pay obeisance at revered place of Bawa Balaknath.
Bawa Balaknath Dev Asthan Mahant Pt Desh Raj Shastri said that annual festival of Bawa Ji started with chanting of vedic mantras by religious Sanskrit scholars followed by hawan, bhajan kirtan, purna ahoti and community fest.
On the occasion, BJP State Kissan Morcha General Secretary Sunil Dutt was the chief guest, who while speaking, said society must rise above caste considerations and work together for the uplift and wellbeing of all, particularly those who are poor, downtrodden and backward.
On the occasion, Bawa Balaknath Parbandhak Committee honored various other dignitaries including Sonu Manhas, Ghar Singh, Rajat Soodan and Sahil Seth.
Trust President also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of the trust and various development programme being taken up the trust to beautify this religious dev asthan.
