Afghan national arrested for overstaying in India

JAMMU, Aug 10: Khour police arrested an Afghan national for overstaying in India.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Khour Police Station apprehended an Afghanistan national, who was moving aimlessly in Khour area.
During checking, police recovered outdated Indian Visa, Indian made documents including Aadhar card and PAN card. The afghan national has made the Aadhar card in Samba district and PAN card in New Delhi.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Akbar Popal (44), son of Aziz Ahmed Popal, a resident of Kandhar Afghanistan, at present Jasola Vihar, New Delhi.
Sources revealed that during preliminary questioning of the arrested Afghan national, it came to fore that he used to purchase the cosmetic items and artificial jewellery from New Delhi and send them towards Pakistan via Wagha Border.
“He (Afghan national) revealed that his father is a UK citizen and he is staying at Jasola Vihar in New Delhi”, sources added.
A case under FIR Number 65/18 under Section 3/4 IP Act has been registered at Police Station Khour and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Khour Inspector Joginder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
