Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Aug 10: Gadigarh police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, during checking, a team from Gadigarh Police Post intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 2.5 grams of heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Pawandeep Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Ward Number 1, Bhour Camp.
A case under FIR Number 134/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Satwari Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Gadigarh Police Post SI Gurpal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, Incharge SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
